Dominant function: Si Auxiliary function: Fe Tertiary function: Ti Inferior function: Ne
Si (Introverted Sensing)- Noah’s defining trait is that he is most comfortable with routine and tradition. He stays in his hometown his whole life and when he moves into the home he rebuilds for Allie, he can’t sale it. He remains in the house when it is transformed into a nursing home for Allie. He is past-orientated, never being able to move on from Allie (He writes her 365 letters, can’t maintain a serious relationship, and reads her their love story when she battles Alzheimers in hopes that she’ll remember him).
Fe (Extroverted Feeling)- He wants to provide for Allie and give her all that she wants. He tells her he can be anything she wants him to be in the early days of pursuing her. He keeps his promises. He tries to keep the peace with the woman he used as a booty call after he and Ally reconcile.
Ti (Introverted Thinking)- He analyzes Allie when they reunite, noticing the differences in her. He can think logically, telling Allie, “Would you stop thinking about what everyone wants? Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do YOU want? What do you WANT?”
Ne (Extroverted Intuition)- He can be intuitive, dreaming of the possibilities of his future with Allie. He sees the potential in what they have and what they could be. He sees potential in the abandoned home. He believes that despite Allie having Alzheimers, that there is still hope.
